Verviers

The city of Verviers offers several cultural activities throughout the year. Indeed, shows, concerts, exhibitions, plays, festivals, dance performances, conferences, and even the recording of the show Signé Taloche are accessible to visitors. The Verviers market takes place on Saturdays from 7 AM to 1:30 PM, at the Town Hall Square.

Verviers offers the opportunity to visit various museums, such as the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics, the Museum of Archaeology and Folklore, the House of Water (Maison de l’Eau), the Historical Museum of Ensival, and the Hardy Foundation.

Activities in and around Verviers

The villages of Soiron and Limbourg are worth a visit, as is the Gileppe Lake. The latter features a brewery-restaurant and offers numerous opportunities for walking, cycling, or horseback riding. For walkers, three trails are marked: the Grand Lys (8.7 km – 2 h 30), the Lake Tour (13.6 km – 3 h 30), and the educational trail (3 km – 1 h). Cyclists can enjoy the Trou Malbrouck (26.5 km – 2 h 30) and the Lake Tour (17.6 km – 1 h 15). Guided tours of the dam are also organized.

Visitors to Verviers can try Laser Game, Paintball, Bowling, or Squash. They will also have the opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride. The Relais des Ânes and The Wolf Conservation Association are also animal parks to discover.

Local products include Kiki de Limbourg, an alcoholic beverage, rice tart, sheep’s cheese, and chocolate.
